Abstract
Currently, trailers used for the transportation of wood material are operated on both public roads and unpaved forest roads. Due to this aspect, lateral anti-tipping protection devices play a crucial role in ensuring stability and safety during transit. According to the R 73 ECE ONU Regulation, "vehicles in categories N2, N3, O3 and O4 must be constructed and equipped in such a way as to offer unprotected road users effective protection against the risk of falling under a side of the vehicle and getting under the wheels, along their entire length". This paper presents the particularities regarding the design and construction of the anti-tipping bar placed on the side of trailers intended for the transport of wood material.
