THE SIMULATION OF THE GAS EXCHANGE PROCESS FOR THE INTERNAL COMBUSTIN ENGINES WITH OPPOSITE PISTONS

Abstract


The internal combustion engines with opposite pistons present the possibility to create a dynamic balanced motor mechanism, having a smaller number of cylinders compared to conventional engines. The gas exchange process has a special importance both in the general development of the engine and the development of the combustion chamber. The simulation of the gas exchange process is done by using some simulating programs: GT Power and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
